Epilepsy is a neurological condition, which produces seizures that affect a variety of mental
and physical functions. Often called a seizure disorder, it's caused when a brief surge
of electrical activity affects the brain. Seizures can last from a few seconds to a few minutes,
and could alter awareness, physical movements, consciousness or actions.
